The heat is on...

Hello Blogger World,

Well, it only took me two months this time to add a new post instead of a year. We are still doing great and now almost melting with heat of Summer. The funny thing is, Summer isn't supposed to start until June 21st, but Mother Nature pretty much does what she wants, so we just roll with it.

Let me see, since my last post in April, we have been to Oregon for my Dad's 7th annual Memorial Golf Tournament and I actually played this time. Funny thing is, we won 2nd Net and that is the first family member to have won since the tournament started 7 years ago. It must have been my awesome putting... ha ha. It was a really fun day and Tom almost gave away the quilt he won. He said to draw another ticket, but after a look of "what are you doing" he kept the quilt and that made me very happy. I have been wanting one of those quilts made by MayBell for a very long time and now I have one. Sweet!

As you may or may not know, we live in NASCAR country and that makes me very happy too. We have been to two races so far and the one I loved the most was the Coca Cola 600 since I was able to watch the race from the 48 Team's Pit. It was rather awesome and to see how all that goes up close and personal was an experience I won't forget. Unfortunately, Jimmie's engine blew up with about 8 laps to go, but it was still a very fun night.

Well, I better get going. Hope everyone is doing well and loving life. Take care and hope to hear from ya'll soon.

Wow, how time flies

Hey there Everyone, Well, it's been extremely too long since I last updated this page. I am surprised it's even still here. But as they say, once it's on the internet, it's there forever. All is well in the Tom and Heidi world. We just wish the weather would be a bit more warm. It's now April and temps are near freezing in the morning. So enough with the cold weather, we need some heat. Tom is still plugging away at his job. They are keeping very busy with a lot of different projects and definitely have more possibilities in the works. As for me, well another new job as of November 22. 2010. It was a very good move for my professional career and I am loving it. I am working for Snyder's-Lance (formerly Lance, INC) and really love it. It's great to be working for a Company that was born and bred in the USA and has remained in the good old USA. Hope this note finds everyone in good health and happiness. Feel free to stop in and say hello. We would love to hear from you anytime. All the Best, Heidi and Tom

September is upon us...

Here we are and it's September... the 11th to be exact. A day to remember those people who were innocent victims of hate. I still don't understand how killing innocent people is justification or retribution for being "wronged."

Anyway, this is not meant to be a political post.... on a much lighter note.. Tom turned 43 today... and his Dad turned 69 today as well. Tom's group at work decorated his desk with lots of confetti, streamers and even shrink-wrapped his chair. On top of all that.. they taped his mouse to his desk... pretty funny. We will be going to dinner and a movie this weekend, which will be scheduled around the many college football games. GO DUCKS!!!!

Well, just thought I would checkin.. not that anyone really reads this, but oh well.. life sucks and then you die.

Later and until next time... Tootles!!!

The Latest Happs in NC

Wow... it's been 4 months since I last posted a comment. Things have definitely been hectic since April. To start with, I now have a new job. My previous employer decided to sell out to another Bank, so myself and several other IT colleagues were left in the cold (so to speak). My last day was 6/6/08 and I have since started a new job at PROBuild. So I was only unemployed for a couple of weeks which worked out well since we have a new addition to the family.

NO, I did not have a baby!! We added a new puppy to our home and we have been having a great time with him. His name is Ryder.. named after the Ryder Cup. Any of you golf fans would know what that is all about.

Ripley (our cat) is tolerating Ryder and it's like having two furry kids pick on each other. It's a lot of fun and entertainment for both of us.

Tom is still doing great at his job, just one minor change to the business... NEW OWNERS.. Yep... the old one got tired of being in the business, so he sold it to some young guns. It's actually going to be a really good chance for them to finally get into the local market and connect with the community. The change has been a little crazy, but I don't know when change isn't crazy no matter what degree it is.

We just had the one year anniversary of buying our home. It's changed a bit since we bought it. Tom has added his touch to the front yard, so it's looking like a home. We have a lot more to do, but it's a work in progress.

Hope everyone is doing great.. we hope to see you somewhere soon. We love you and hope to hear from you soon.

Love,

Tom and Heidi

Update on the Robinsons 4/26/08

Hi All, well April is almost past us by and May is lurking around the corner... I will be leaving for Oregon on 4/30 to see my Mommie, brothers and friends. I am really looking forward to it. I have been home since January of 2007 and I need a break from work.

Tom has been working his fanny off in the front yard. He is getting all the landscaping done and also reseeding the grass since part of it died during the water restrictions last year. It's all coming together very nicely. We will send pictures when it's all done.

Hope to see you on the blog soon... love to hear from everyone. Take care and write soon!!
